Description¶

Retrieves the ancestry chain of the specified AMI, tracing its lineage back to the root AMI. For more information, see AMI ancestry in Amazon EC2 User Guide.

Usage¶

ec2_get_image_ancestry(ImageId, DryRun)

Arguments¶

ImageId

[required] The ID of the AMI whose ancestry you want to trace.

DryRun

Checks whether you have the required permissions for the action, without actually making the request, and provides an error response. If you have the required permissions, the error response is DryRunOperation. Otherwise, it is UnauthorizedOperation.

Value¶

A list with the following syntax:
